Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) are commonly used as sensors of physical quantities (temperature, mechanical tension, light polarization state, etc.) [1,2]. Another promising FBG application is spectral filtering employed in complex optical processing systems [3]. In the latter case the use of FBG arrays inscribed in a single fiber is of particular interest for processing of broadband signals. The problem of technical realization of such FBGs array fibers is on the agenda. One of the ways to produce an FBGs array with a broadband reflectivity is smart modification of the fiber diameter along the fiber length before or after FBG inscription. Such variation causes a change of the mode effective refractive index neff that directly sets the distribution of the FBG peak reflectivity wavelength k ¼ neffK=2 along the fiber length, where K is the period of the phase mask. For an example, in Ref. [4] an uniform FBG inscribed in an optical fiber with the diameter of 125 lm has been modified by smooth tapering of the fiber diameter down to 10 lm leading to 10 fold broadening of the FBG reflectivity spectrum.

توری‌های براگ فیبری (FBGs) معمولا به عنوان حسگرهای کمیت‌های فیزیکی (دما، تنش مکانیکی، حالت قطبش نور و غیره) [۱،۲] استفاده می‌شوند. یکی دیگر از کاربردهای امیدوار کننده FBG، فیلتر کردن طیفی است که در سیستم‌های پردازش نوری پیچیده استفاده می‌شود [۳]. در مورد دوم، استفاده از آرایه‌های FBG که در یک فیبر تک مد حک شده‌ است، برای پردازش سیگنال‌های پهن باند مورد توجه خاص است. مسئله فهم فنی این چنین فیبرهایی با آرایه‌های FBG در دستور کار است. یکی از راه‌های تولید یک آرایه FBG با یک بازتاب پهن باند، اصلاح هوشمند قطر فیبر در امتداد طول فیبر قبل یا بعد از حک کردن FBG است. چنین تغییری باعث دگرگونی در حالت ضریب شکست مؤثر می‌شود که به طور مستقیم توزیع طول‌موج بازتابی پیک FBG که برابر ۲ ̷ Λ ffen=λ در امتداد فیبر است را تنظیم می‌کند، که در آن Λ دوره ماسک فازی است. برای مثال، در مرجع[۴] یک FBG یکنواخت که در یک فیبر نوری با قطر ۱۲۵ میکرون حک شده، با کشیده شدن ملایم قطر فیبر به کمتر از ۱۰ میکرون اصلاح شده است، که این امر منجر به افزایش ۱۰ برابری پهنای طیف بازتابی از FBG می‌شود.
